Advantages:
-Excellent graphic (of this genre)
-Great gameplay (challenging, interesting and reasonably realistic)
-Large range of vehicles (of horses, trucks, trains, ships, airplanes, airships, and everything in between)
Strong financial and industrial groups model
-Realistic yet fun
Signals for railways
-Visible city growth
-Competent AI
Disadvantages:
-Advanced eats memory in your network (your system slows down, when you exit the game)
-Little help info (although there is a manual on the website)
-Bad music (if those items)
I've previously played Transport Tycoon Deluxe, Railroad Tycoon 2 and locomotion and transport giant is much better than the rest. TTD and transportation have pathetic graphics, which completely neutralizes a benefit of good gameplay, while RT2 is simply unrealistic in the absence of signals, deals with trains only and never struck out more than cities!
This little-known gem is one of the best strategy games, the I've played mainly among the Tycoon types. Granted, it's not perfect and there are a lot of negative publicity surrounding him, but at least you can demo version and convince yourself.
